From what age can my child use it?

It's designed for school-age kids who already understand what it's for. We don't recommend it for young children because it has small parts.

What if they set it off while playing?

We recommend explaining from the start that it's only for emergencies and practicing together once how to pull it and turn it off. That way they'll use it without fear when they really need it.

Is the sound dangerous?

It's very loud on purpose, so it can be heard from a distance. That's why it shouldn't be held close to the ear or set off indoors as a game.

Can it go off by itself inside the backpack?

No. It only sounds when the pin is pulled out firmly. Bumps or the normal movement of the backpack don't activate it.

What battery does it use? How long does it last?

It runs on 3 button-cell batteries that you can replace yourself when they run out. They last up to 1 year on standby and about 90 minutes of continuous alarm.

Is it a weapon? Can they take it to school?

It's not a weapon or a spray. It only makes sound and light and doesn't hurt anyone. Still, check your child's school rules.
